Park City House

This 7-acre hilltop property in Park City features mountain views and dense conifer and aspen surroundings. The concept was to develop a vernacular architecture with unique and distinctive mass timber structures. The project consists of three independent Buildings: Main House, Guest House, and Party Barn. The Main House combines a Main Residence, a Pool House, and an Event Pavilion. The Main Residence structure is a series of glulam treelike elements that create arches in two directions, offering extensive living and recreational spaces. The Pool House consists of glulam post and beam gable structure forming a bridge that connects the Main Residence to the Event Pavilion. The Event Pavilion comprises of overlapping curved glulam that form a spiraling truss. The Guest House is a multi-level cantilevered structure, while the Party Barn offers a place for horses, guest apartment, and utility storage.

この7エーカーの建物は丘陵地に位置し、針葉樹に囲まれ、北側に山々を望む敷地に建っている。この建物は特徴的なマスティンバー構造と土地に根差した建築をコンセプトとし、メインハウス、ゲストハウス、パーティーバーンの3棟で構成される。メインハウスは住宅、プールハウス、イベントパビリオンを備え、集成材のアーチやトラスを用いた多様な居住・レクリエーション空間を備える。ゲストハウスは集成材の柱と梁を用い、一方がキャンティレバー構造となっている。パーティーバーンは2階建てで集成材を用いた柱梁構造となっており、馬具室や来客間を備え、作業用車両等も収納できる施設である。
